It's rare to find a cap that doesn't have the silly sizing strap in the back. In the Lids product line, both the Letterman and the Closer are fitted caps. The Closer is a formed hat with a shaped front while this Letterman has a softer natural shape. I've purchased both styles and prefer the more relaxed fit of the Letterman. These caps do tend to run a size small, so measure your head size and order accordingly. Overall quality is very good, I've no complaints about the stitching or symmetry, and the price is certainly a bargain. If it matters, my Navy colored cap is not dark blue, but has a lighter washed look.
With any fitted hat, a necessary accessory is a hat retainer. Most hats will shrink a bit if you get them wet and this adjustable sizing gadget will maintain the fit. As well, it will ease the fit of a new hat if it's a little snug.
