The original embroidery on the NCSU was not tied off, not heat sealed with embroidery paper, so the 'U' in the NCSU was already unraveling upon arrival. Since the threads were visibily pulled away from the cap and hanging loose inside, I'm not sure how anyone doing the custom embroidery could have missed it. Obviously, they ignored it, or they made the whole hat and did a poor job.
